Smart Mobility Solutions from Finland.
City of Vantaa improves transport experiences through the utilisation of smart mobility services. The Last Mile project aims at developing sustainable mobility service concepts for the needs of tourism companies in particular. The market-driven services created in the project will complement the current transport system. City of Vantaa will adhere to the culture of testing where city acts without prejudice and challenge established procedures.
With the Last Mile project City of Vantaa offers short-time trials to develop new services. Trials are being held at Aviapolis area, which is next to Helsinki Airport, and other tourist destinations in Vantaa . All together six different trials has been executed in close co-operation with different stakeholders and business networks as well as city departments.

The lead partner of the project is the City of Vantaa. The project partners include Aalto University Foundation, Forum Virium Helsinki, Espoo Marketing, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and Demos ry. The project will be carried out between 1 September 2017 and 31 March 2020.
