Open Innovation Platforms of Finland’s Six Biggest Cities – Espoo, Helsinki, Oulu, Tampere, Turku and Vantaa.

The Six Cities network is implementing a common strategy for sustainable urban development, aiming at creation of new know-how, business and jobs. The city network is developing open innovation platforms to support development of new innovations and products.

City goals / challenges

The main goal of the Six City Strategy, Open Innovation Platform collaboration is to strengthen Finland’s competitiveness by using the country’s six largest cities as innovation development and experimentation environments. The six largest cities together form sufficient critical mass to support development of new smart city solutions to the world market.
